Ces r\u00e9serves abritent au moins 201 TP3T de la faune totale, 541 TP3T de mammif\u00e8res, 591 TP3T d&#039;oiseaux et plus de 330 esp\u00e8ces de papillons, conservant une \u00ab grande valeur en termes d&#039;exosyst\u00e8mes, de biodiversit\u00e9, de ressources en eau et de connectivit\u00e9 \u00bb. Le corridor est une zone de conservation sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue pour assurer la connectivit\u00e9 entre la p\u00e9ninsule d&#039;Osa, y compris le joyau du Costa Rica, le parc national du Corcovado au sud, les parcs nationaux marins et terrestres et les r\u00e9serves foresti\u00e8res au nord. \u00ab En fait, le plus grand espoir du parc national du Corcovado pour maintenir la connectivit\u00e9 repose directement sur le Sentier du Tapir.
